How Kijang Putih Began

We are a social and self-funded philanthropic project dedicated to assisting stray dogs in Bali.

  1. January 2022

    The Spark of Compassion

This initiative was launched out of deep concern for the numerous abandoned stray animals in Bali. Motivated by a desire to improve the lives of both humans and stray dogs in our community, we felt compelled to take action.

  2. The Inspiration

    The Kijang Putih

It began with our very first vehicle, a 1993 White Toyota Kijang. This dependable vehicle inspired the name of our self-funded initiative, chosen to reflect our resilience and profound care for our furry companions.

  3. Our current focus is solely on social aspects and not commercial endeavors.

“Hamemayu Hayuning Bawana”

We strongly believe that each of us has a unique purpose to contribute towards creating a more beautiful, peaceful, and balanced world for all living beings.

Our Heart & Mission.

Kijang Putih Bali was born from a simple promise: that no life in Bali should be left to suffer in silence.

What began as a personal mission to rescue the most vulnerable has grown into a sanctuary of healing. We are a grassroots initiative dedicated to being the voice for those who cannot speak, providing a lifeline to abandoned dogs and the wild spirits of Bali.

Our Routine Programs

Four core programs carry our work, each one answering an urgent need of Bali’s most vulnerable souls.

  1. Three dogs walk toward the camera across the shelter yard, more dogs resting under the roof behind them.

    Dog Shelter

Our dog shelter program provides a safe haven for abandoned dogs, offering them love, care, and medical attention until they find their forever homes.

  2. Street dogs eat on a quiet road beside a parked motorbike.

    Street Feeding

Our street feeding program addresses the immediate needs of Bali’s street dogs, providing regular meals and monitoring their health to improve their quality of life on the streets.

  3. Three dogs ride on the back seat of a car.

    Pet Taxi Service

Our pet taxi service ensures that our rescues receive timely medical care and transportation to and from our shelter, making it easier for us to provide the necessary support and care.

  4. Two vets in gloves treat a dog lying on a green cloth, a medical kit open beside them.

    Sterilization & Vaccination

Our sterilization and vaccination program is crucial in controlling the stray dog population and preventing the spread of diseases, ensuring a healthier community.
